Orkhan ตุลาคม 3, 2015 27 // ตอบกลับ. Hello, Thank you for so great post. You solved my problem with Windows node in unetlab. Now I can use windows in unetlab. But there is a problem with sound card in VMs inside unetlab.

UnetLab, or the Unified Networking Lab, is a virtual lab for networking engineers who want to explore and learn networking concepts or test networking designs.
UnetLab is a Web-based competitor to options such as GNS3 and Cisco VIRL, and it aims to be easy to use and to enable project portability.
Take a listen as we discuss the UNetLab project with creator Andrea Dainese and contributor Uldis Dzerkals to find out how it works and how people can get started using it.
Show Notes:
-What is UNetLab?
-Why a new project like this? We already have GNS3 & Cisco VIRL
- Unique features
-What sort of person will be interested in UNetLab?
-Getting started with UNetLab
- Where to download
- System recommendations
- Images supported
- Standing up that very first lab
- Accessing the UNetLab environment from outside the virtual network
- Managing image licensing
- Project portability
-Can other people contribute to the UNetLab code?
-Can people donate to the project?

Hey geeks,
Since my last post I have been enjoying your responses and interest in networking / DevOps/ Cloud / Automation/ SDN?...
Seems that the CLI geeks are still alive and Im happy they are because thats gonna be needed anyways in next 10 years...
On the other hand most of CLI geeks understand that going to learn first Python codes, Ansible, Puppet, Chef, JSON, Ruby or what XML parsers, is the key for them to be able to keep up with new technology (Cloud, Automation, NFV, Orchestration, Fabric Programability).
So how can one learn those codes?
You have 2 options which should be done together I think because it will bring the best effectivity.
1] self learner (good for practice)
2] pay for trainings and courses (good for theory)
Did you guys heard about emulators such as GNS/VIRL/UNL/EVE?
Yes those are the emulators which allow u to master CCIE/JNCIE/XXCIE and create networks which are very similar or almost equal to production networks. This has enormous advantage for those who want to make sure their solution will work before they go online. Also practising in such emulator makes your tech skills refreshed and u master new features because these emulators support almost all latest vOS images today!
Imagine u can create ISP backbone with Cisco/Juniper hight end routers and practive MPLS TE just from your browser without any need for BIG/POWERGUNGRY server in your living room....
Yes today its possible, because UNL/EVE emulator (and I think VIRL/GNS3 too) offer cloud based emulation. This means you can dynamically add resources to the server once u growing in your topology by simplly allocation another vCPU/RAM etc...
But what makes this cloud based emulator even better is the compatibility. You can also import GNS3/VIRL labs into UNL/EVE and so the work u had done over nights and wekends in your home lab, where there is NO ONE ALLOWED TO ENTER BUT YOU, can be now imported to EVE and u can simply continue with more powerful, more scalable, more extendable and more feature rich EVE emulator which is 1st clientless emulator ever.
You can simply connect your PC to the cloud (EVE), and simulate ISP/MPLS/virtual PC and run Python scripting PC for your underlay (network). You can also use docker simulations on linux machines and I believe Ansible/Puppet/Chef is also the feature which EVE will offer.
Its opensource and its FREE!!!
Its has premium account which is suitable for training centers/enterpises
But for your home-based weekend labbing its completely free and it will be free because its like the LINUX (opensource).
So what are you waiting for? Do u get chance to practice on multivendor environment with ability to program underlay for FREE anywhere else? Let me know if yes I will go there too:)
FYI this EVE (Emulated Virtual Environment) just been released in pre-alpha version but for those who want to try its parent platform (UNL - Unified Networking Lab) I recomment to go download the UnetLab Lite from certcollection.org.
I also can say that new EVE cloud is being build and it has roadmap with Beta version around 2Q/2017 as per vendor. (http://www.unetlab.com)
I know about 100 ppl who use it on daily basis but they have these HEAVY servers at home and they complain the latest codes are running slow or their wife coming each month with question 'Darling why we paying so much for electricity'?
I mean tech is changing fast and so the way we work aswell. Now all u need is i7 laptop with 16G RAM and Internet access. U can connect from your browser direct to EVE without any client. Just by typing http://EVE IP and u there.
I will be very happy if u guys let me know feedback on this great tool which is used by Arista/Cisco and many other vendors!
Good night and see u soon
